I started working on cars at a very young age when my dad owned a transmission repair business. I worked as the R&R guy. We didn't have a lift back then and my dad said I fit pretty well on the old metal-wheeled creeper. He'd roll me under the cars so I could unbolt the transmissions. Then he would pull me out by my legs! I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of troubleshooting problems and it didn’t take me long to figure out that I had a special knack for fixing everything under and around the hood.
Once I got older, I took classes in auto repair and started working at repair shops. After several years of working for other people and companies and learning their bad habits, I decided to own a shop that cared about the customer – I wanted to treat everyone like family.
I feel as though I've established a family-type shop in this town. I see many of my customers all year long outside of the shop, whether it's at the grocery store, chili cook-offs, yard sales and pretty much all around the place. It's nice to see them and ramble with them. I see other shop owners hide and try to avoid their customers, maybe out of guilt? Our motto is, "You won't find jerks at Autoworks." If you do, let me know! I will correct the problem.
When I’m not working, I enjoy driving the tractor around the house and spending time with my family.
Our philosophy at Autoworks is that we will prioritize the needs for your car and let you budget for upcoming maintenance services. We use quality parts and I like to believe we have the best technicians in the state.
I’ve been working on cars for more than 30 years. I got interested in the automotive field all because of a car I was working on when I was 17. That Audi taught me a lot and I decided to take an automotive course. Soon I realized that the automotive industry would be a good career for me and I’ve been doing this ever since.
I like the challenge of problem solving and every day is different. My background is in imports but I don’t mind the domestics, either!
When I’m not working, I enjoy hunting and the outdoors. I’m an ASE certified technician and I’ve been trained to fix the car right the first time – quality repairs over quantity.
I’ve been working on cars professionally since 2002. I have always enjoyed hot rods and my first vehicle was a ’69 Firebird. I had to fix it myself.
I enjoy travelling with my daughter and recently visited Greece. I also love to barbecue, floating on the river and hiking.
I’m an ASE certified technician and I taught automotive diagnostics at Universal Technical Institute.
My philosophy is that you have to take pride in your work and every vehicle should run better than when it came in the shop.
I am the shop dog, but don’t worry – I won’t bark too loud or try to steal your lunch. I come to work every day at Autoworks and if you have a dog on a leash, your furry companions may enjoy a cold bowl of water and a treat or two! Our air-conditioned waiting room feels great in the summer. Our pet-friendly facility caters to all breeds and sizes – but please leave the cats at home!
